CHESCA sponsors a number of activities each quarter, mostly for CHESCA members. Some functions
such as seminars for new home schoolers are open to non-members too. Guests are allowed at nurture
group functions so that non-members may have the opportunity to participate before deciding
to join.
Here are some recent activities:
Father/Son Camp at Camp Buckeye, mid-October weekend. A great opportunity to spend some quality time with your son(s) and other homeschool dads!
Swimming Classes at the Northeast Community Center in Canton, gymnastics at the North Canton YMCA. Programs for preschool through high school.
Bowling, roller skating, ice skating, and classes for special needs students, ASL, Spanish language and art.
Other activities include a homeschool band, Camp Y-Noah, picnics, and days at Faith Ranch.
These are just some of the types of activities that are planned each quarter. We'd love to have you join us! Why not consider membership in CHESCA? Specific details about events will come to you via the CHESCA Chronicles, our quarterly newsletter. Then get out your family calendar and enjoy some encouraging activities with fellow homeschoolers!
The Northeast Ohio Home Educators Conference is right around the corner! Make plans now to attend this huge event for homeschoolers of all levels. Workshops, seminars, used books and curriculum vendors are all planned. Check out all the details and mark your calendars!
