Becker Family Update as of July 1, 2008

Please keep Mark Becker in your prayers. He has been in the hospital for several weeks with an infection in his right leg. At the first when Diane took him to the hospital, doctors threatened to amputate his leg. However, after further diagnosis and time, the swelling has gone down and healing has begun in his body.

After finding Mark's condition to be stable this week, Diane took Robert and a family friend and went to Pennsylvania for a week vacation. If you would be so inclined, Mark could always use a visit, with Diane gone until Monday, July 7. Mark is in Mercy Medical Hospital on the second floor. You may call the hospital at (330) 489-1000 for Mark's room number and phone connection.

More progress is being made on their new home. Please pray for everything to fall together soon, as they need to vacate the temporary home they've been living at for the last year, by end of moth, July.

The Building Has Begun!

The buidling has started! Anyone that could have some time to lend the Beckers, they could use help. If you go to the property, there is a shed on the right side. There will be a list on the side door. Check it and if there are tasks listed that have not been completed, feel free to assist!

The basement is done and the support poles will be going in tomorrow. You should see a protruding structure by next week.

Bontrager Excavating digs the property!

Excavating started and Joe Bontrager came through for the Beckers. Bontrager Excavating came on Friday and dug out the property and now we wait on the volunteers to lay in the footer.

Keep checking back to find out what happens next!

Dear Diane, Even with an ocean between us, I still heard of your loss in Luxembourg. Jerry reads the local papers from home online. You have been in our thoughts & prayers. I was very excited to find this info page to help keep me updated on how you are doing and what needs you have. We will be moving back to Ohio in December, so I hope to see you then. Praying that God will bless you abundantly more than you could ever ask or hope for!

Frank and I were so sorry to learn of the loss of your home, but praise God, there were no lives lost. We were sad to learn of Lucille's passing. But, like your dad said, at least she did not linger and suffer. You are in our prayers and we will be sending you a box soon. God bless each of you!

hey there! Someone gave Bob a bike today! It is one of the smaller mountain tuff-guy kind. Is Robert allowed to ride in that ever-so-perfect-for-riding-a-bike-in-extra-big drive? Also, let me go thru my books again. I had (and thought I sent your way, but I guess not since the need is still listed) the wordly wise books. How about the McGuffy Reader!! That was from my antique book collection~! I used to scour old book sections at antique shops and the library sales. But now that homeschooling is behind me (sniff) I don't.

We were so glad that you could make it for the day to the Marriage Encounter Campout at Cutty's and Robert was able to enjoy himself with the grandkids for awhile and forget about the last few days of difficult times. Our prayers are with Phillip as he tries to rebuild his life as a young man - having lost a lot of his most precious things. The most valuable of all ~ that he did not lose is his love of the Lord and his parents love for him. We will continue to pray for strength and God's peace for all of you as you put your lifes back together in a strange new house with everything unfamiliar. It soon will feel like home and before long your NEW home will be built and we can all rejoice with you. Hugs to all of you!!
