Dear friend,

Thank you for expressing an interest in Christian Home Educators Stark County Association. CHESCA is a group for home educators who share a common goal of raising godly children through Christian home education. We also provide the opportunity for you to establish personal ties with other home educating families for support and nurture. Here are some of the unique services CHESCA has to offer:

LOCAL AND COUNTY-WIDE ACTIVITIES including classes, physical education, field trips, and other programs are planned to appeal to a wide range of interests and ages. Use these opportunities to supplement your curriculum, encourage new interests, and meet new friends.
NURTURE GROUPS, the heart of CHESCA, provide local support. It is through these groups that many families get to know one another. Nurture Groups also provide smaller activities and field trip events.
HOME EDUCATION INFORMATION MEETINGS, held regularly, give families new to home education help with preparing to teach their children at home, and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
OUR COUNTY-WIDE NEWSLETTER, "The CHESCA Chronicles", is published quarterly to inform members of activities, field trips, classes, physical education opportunities, and news relevant to home education.
POLITICAL ACTION UPDATES keep you informed on legislative and political news which pertains to home education and the family.

This brochure gives an overview of the CHESCA organization and what we're all about.

CHESCA Statement of Purpose

To facilitate Christian home education in the Stark County, Ohio area.

We seek to honor and please the Lord Jesus Christ through promotion of home education by Christian parents.
We seek to facilitate Christian home education in and around the Stark County, Ohio area.
We seek to facilitate the total education, training, and nurturing of our children according to Biblical guidelines.
We seek to use our God-given talents and abilities, provide information, exchange ideas, and offer group activities to our members.
We seek to encourage one another, promote unity among Christian home educators, and encourage communication within our membership.
We seek to promote the rights of Christian home educators as citizens within the sovereign State of Ohio.
We seek to execute the above intents through the leadership of the Central CHESCA Council, the direction of the officers of CHESCA Nurture Groups, and the participation of the General Membership.

We hope you agree with us that membership in CHESCA will provide you with the information, activities, and support necessary for a rewarding home education experience. The online forms in the membership area contain all the information you will need to apply for membership in CHESCA. If you have any questions at all, that aren't also answered in our constitution or bylaws, feel free to contact any one of the CHESCA Council below. We hope to hear from you soon!
