New this year:

* Curriculum Choices Workshop is included in the cost for the entire conference. Come, look, and learn about the different curriculum choices and methods that are available, presented by Brenda Troyer. There will be a helpful handout with tips and different catalogs to order from.

** A special Anniversary Celebration is planned for NEOHEC 2008 in honor of 25 years of home education support in Stark County and Ohio, and 20 years of workshops offered locally. Please plan to eat your lunch on-site and enjoy a short reminiscent presentation. Former home educators who were a part of CHESCA are invited to come free of charge to the noon-time presentation and to stay for fellowship afterwards. They are encouraged to order lunch from Denise Stanley.

Cindy Hrusch, a certified teacher and homeschooling mom, will be offering homeschool portfolio assessments during the NEOHEC conference. Assessments will be given from 3:30-7:30 on Friday and 8:45-2:30 on Sat. She will allow 15 minutes for each child assessed. The cost is $20.00 for the first child and $15.00 for each additional child. If you'd like to set up an appointment and find out what to bring, call 330-862-1328 or e-mail cindyhrusch@yahoo.com.
