Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the \Lord\ is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of
the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 23:24
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a
wise son will be glad in him.
Proverbs 23:15,16
My son, if your heart is wise, My own heart also will be glad;
And my inmost being will rejoice, When your lips speak what is right.
Proverbs 27:11
Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, That I may reply to him who
reproaches me.
Proverbs 24:13,14
My son, eat honey, for it is good, Yes, the honey from the comb is sweet
to your taste; Know {that} wisdom is thus for your soul; If you find {it,} then there
will be a future, And your hope will not be cut off.
Proverbs 10:1
A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish
son is a grief to his mother.
Proverbs 15:20
A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother.
Proverbs 13:18
Poverty and shame {will come} to him who neglects discipline, But he who
regards reproof will be honored.

A scoffer seeks wisdom, and {finds} none, But knowledge is easy to him

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up
in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
